Printing on canvas - It's good to know:

Filetype

We can print all the rastered filetypes: jpg, png, gif, tif, psd, pdf.

What we are certainly not able to print is: corel, filetypes from special vectorial softwares.

Pictures on paper

If you bring your own photos, it's also possible to print them on canvas, our colleagues scan them before.

Printing size

The pictures are put on a stretcher, which is about 2.5 cm thick, so you have to add a 3 cm wide strip to the frame's size on each direction. So if you choose a framesize of 60 x 45 cm, then the picturesize, we print, will be 66 x 51 cm. It's important because when you compose the picture, you have to consider this 3 cm.

Framesizes are available in a 5 cm range. Sizes which are not on the pricelist you should ask about.

Resolution

The higher is the picture resolution, the better is the quality we can print. Usually we appoint 100 dpi as a minimum, this means 40 pixels in each cm. So a picture with a size of 60 x 45 cm, of which the printing size is 66 x 51 cm, has to be built up of 2600 x 2000 pixels, which is the product of a camera of 5Mpixels.

The resolution can be lower, of course, but in this case the picture easily can be pixeled. And it's not worth going above 200 dpi as well, because this detailedness can't be seen on the picture due to the structured surface of the canvas.

Retouch, colouring

It's possible to retouch, to discolour and to transform the photos you send in. Ask our colleagues about the price.

Material

We print on canvas of 300g/m2 with a structured surface.

Receipt

The receipt of the pictures can happen personally, or we can send them by dispatch. Ask our colleagues about the price of the dispatch.

Fastening

We set up a hanger onto the picture before handover.
